Last night MVF was officially crowned the 4th best company to work for in the UK by the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For list, beating last year’s record by 6 places. The awards are based on employee ratings, covering everything from wellbeing to leadership within the company.
This year MVF ranked the highest overall for being able to balance domestic responsibilities and 4th for providing a fun working environment. Employees also said they believe they can make a valuable contribution to the company’s success, gaining a 91% approval rating and 85% said their managers were good listeners.
This high ranking comes after a year of massive growth and change for the company with employee numbers rising to 252 and relocating to new offices, proving the strong company ethos and commitment to employee wellbeing has withstood this transition.
Another aspect highlighted by the Sunday Times list was MVF’s dedication charitable causes, with the report showing that the company has doubled its charitable activities and 90% of employees saying the company had a strong social conscience. MVF’s partnership with local charity Castlehaven was also commended, which is testament to the efforts of CSR Chairman Jared Keleher, who says: “The CSR committee has worked harder than ever over the past year to find the best ways to engage our colleagues. Alongside our day jobs we redoubled our charitable work and we are absolutely thrilled to see that our partnership with Castlehaven has contributed to this fantastic result.”
MVF came second for ‘inspiring head of company’ confirming CEO Titus Sharpe’s position as not only Entrepreneur of the Year but popular and respected leader, and employees also ranked MVF in the top 5 for ‘most honest managers’.
CEO Titus Sharpe comments: "I am absolutely delighted that MVF has been confirmed as the 4th best place to work in the UK. We have worked hard to keep our excellent company culture through huge growth, and it is great to see our employees feeling so positive about working for us. As a founder of a company there is no better feeling than knowing you have created an organisation which is not only a dynamic and innovative business but is also somewhere people enjoy turning up to each day."
