Firstly, MVF would like to wish everyone a very happy new year. Now that the tinsel has been put away for another 11 months and turkey sandwiches seem like a distant memory, it’s time to get planning for all the exciting things 2016 has to offer, even if the bitterly cold weather is trying to hold us back.
2015 was MVF’s most action-packed to date; we doubled our workforce, secured major investment from Bridgepoint, opened shiny new offices in Austin, Texas, became a UK top 10 company to work for and our CEO won Entrepreneur of the Year at the prestigious National Business Awards.
With such amazing achievements it seems like a hard year to top, but 2016 is set to be even more eventful. Since December, we have had an army of 14 new starters join the MVF ranks across every part of the company. We wanted to find out what our newbies thought of MVF since they started.
Babs Ofori-Acquah only just joined the B2B sales team this month and has already started enjoying MVF’s two free group personal training sessions within her first week. She says: “It has been really easy to settle in at MVF, everyone is so friendly and there are lots of activities to get involved in outside work. Sweating it out at PT sessions definitely accelerates the bonding process!”
Josh Frisby joined the SEO team, one of MVF’s biggest departments across the company, just before Christmas and is looking forward to the new projects he has lined up for 2016: “My team has been really welcoming which has certainly helped me settle in quickly! The most exciting part of this year will be launching a brand new website in Australia which I will see from start to finish.”
Some of our new starters thought the perks were too good to be true right up until they walked through the door. Jordan from MVF’s account management team comments: “The company perks were one of the things that drew me to MVF, but I wasn’t sure if it would live up to the hype. I can vouch that it is all true, and since joining I have started the intense boxing sessions on a Wednesday, which certainly helped me sweat out a few of the mince pies consumed over Christmas, but also energised me for the rest of the afternoon!”
MVF is still on the hunt for more bright and talented minds to join our headquarters in Kentish Town. We currently have 18 roles available in tech, digital marketing and sales.
