MVFers arrived at work to a fright this morning as our headquarters had turned into a horror site overnight. The walls have been covered in webs, creepy crawlies, and blood (we hope it’s fake). Today marks the company’s biggest Halloween celebration to date as our social and CSR committees have joined forces to give employees the spookiest Friday ever.
In case you haven’t already noticed, employees at MVF love a bit of competition. That’s why our Halloween extravaganza wouldn’t be complete without a pumpkin-carving contest. New fun fact: MVFers have insane carving skills. Just check this picture out on the right!
Our CSR committee invited our cookery champions to a special spooky Halloween bake off and did they deliver? Of course. On the menu: eyeball-topped cupcakes, slaughtered sugar cookie biscuit men, a Death By Chocolate graveyard cake and a red velvet cake topped with meringue ghosts (the recipe has been shared with us here). The winner will receive the glorious MVF Bake Off trophy and a copy of the latest Great British Bake Off cookbook to prepare them for the next round.
This evening our social team have organised a Halloween house party at our HQ with MVF’s resident DJ Kishan Basnayake dropping all the favourite R’n’B chart toppers. There will be a prize for the best and most unique fancy dress costume but for those who accidentally forgot their Halloween glad rags, an amazing professional face painter will be on hand, as well as a fierce table tennis tournament where things do tend to get really scary by the final round.
Who knows who will make it alive and back to work on Monday?
