Last week MVF’s HR department danced the night away celebrating Lexie Newnham making the shortlist for Best Internal Recruiter at the In-House Recruitment Awards. Sadly, Lexie only just missed out on the top spot to a recruiter from Delaware North, a global food and hospitality recruitment agency.
This year the In-House Recruitment Awards (IHRA) saw entries from some big corporate players including Boots, Nationwide, PepsiCo and Johnson and Johnson to name a few. However, no category was more competitive than ‘Best Internal Recruiter’ which saw 13 finalists in the running; the highest number of contenders to date. The ceremony was held in London’s chic Plaza Park Hotel where our HR team enjoyed a champagne reception and delicious three-course meal.
MVF finalist Lexie comments: “Although MVF went home empty-handed, the whole team had a really fun night out. The after-party made it a night to remember.”
It has been a huge year for MVF’s HR department as they approach the finishing line of the company’s biggest recruitment drive to date.
Since July the company has seen 84 new recruits walk through its doors; a huge undertaking for such a small team, and one which Lexie was instrumental to.
Amanda Nuttall, Director of HR, said: "The competition at this year's awards was extremely tough and we are really proud of Lexie to have come this far. Being considered a finalist at such a prestigious event is a testament to all her hard work throughout this year."
Well done Lexie!
