This year MVF staff chose local charity Castlehaven Community Association as their fundraising partner. As well as setting a goal to raise £10,000 this year towards a new outdoor space, the team at MVF have also lent their expertise to publicise the fantastic work undertaken by the Castlehaven team. After hearing about Castlehaven’s over 60s dancing group, the media team popped down to a rehearsal and made a video documenting some of Camden’s finest silver steppers. The result was a moving video which captures the joy brought to local over 60s from the weekly dance classes, supported by the Mary Ward Centre – for many of the participants it is the highlight of their week, and it really shows! The music for the video was composed by Kate Lloyd who kindly volunteered to put their moves to music and created this amazing original track.
