MVF is a global customer generation business, supplying some of the world’s leading brands with high volumes of new customers in over 100 countries. In 2013, MVF topped the Sunday Times Tech Track as the fastest growing tech/media company in the UK, and we’ve been winning awards ever since; whether for growth, for excellence in marketing, or for innovation in other fields. At present, MVF is made up of 450+ amazing people in the UK and USA, and we’ll soon be launching our third office, this time in the APAC region.

Our Team

The growth team is the newest team in the business, serving as an incubator for innovation at MVF. The Growth team’s mission is to accelerate the long term growth of MVF by innovating and scaling new marketing channels, successfully launching more product verticals and entering into new sectors which transform how businesses find new customers. Our goal is to deliver £35m of revenue in the next 2 years.



The Role

You will be responsible for the research and evaluation of all potential New verticals at MVF in conjunction with Growth leads and Sales team. Using internal and external data sources, regression analysis on previous MVF activity and any other data point which might help further improve the identification and predictability of successful new verticals.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the research and evaluation of all potential New verticals at MVF.
  2. Refining the research process, in conjunction with Growth leads and Sales manager - using internal and external data sources, regression analysis on previous MVF activity and any other data point which might help further improve the identification and predictability of successful new verticals.
  3. Owning and Optimising the internal marketing forecasting process.
  4. Building the decision framework which dictates where verticals will be launched based on the effort and opportunity required.
  5. Collect, analyse and package up primary data that will be used to inform the research process
  6. Regularly asses MVFs suite of research tools, creating a framework to ensure all new data sources are tested, costed and when necessary implemented within workflow.
  7. Conduct research into potential client universes - building addressable universes based off vertical research and by evaluating their sales process and unit economics
  8. In conjunction with Growth Lead develop the science of success by which MVF will be able to consistently assess the value and likely success of New Vertical and New Sector pipeline
  9. Network with lead generators and affiliate networks, find out what products are working well for MVF’s competitors
  10. Work with CorpDev team to understand and deliver insights which may help richen their M&A pipeline
  11. Interface with Hub leadership teams and keep abreast of the latest developments within MVF’s existing categories - with the aim of spotting potential synergistic new product niches
  12. Help build and improve resilient internal processes that will allow the business to scale quickly

  • Success rate of New verticals is increased
  • Decisions are based on sound analysis and reasoning and communicated clearly to stakeholders
  • Processes are created and improved to ensure scalable growth across the business
  • Wider stakeholder group is aware of current and future priorities and the data points that support this.
