Um dos principais talentos de tecnologia da MVF, Visnja Drinjovski, foi selecionada para a lista de mulheres no poder do software de 2020.

The Women in Software Power List recognises the top rising stars in the tech industry and this year engineers from Revolut, Monzo, Facebook and Vodafone make the shortlist alongside MVF’s Visnja. Visnja is a Senior Engineer for MVF’s Publishing division which hosts leading market brands startups.co.uk and expertmarket.com.

Earlier this year she oversaw the rebrand of flagship site Tech.co resulting in +60% improvement across top GP-generating pages and significantly increased speed quality score and decreased load times.

Visnja’s path to MVF is inspiring too – with Visnja beginning her career as a professional ballet dancer in the highly competitive Serbian National Theatre, before changing careers after realising the physical and mental toll professional ballet was taking on her. Without the funds to attend her local university, Visnja found Youtube tutorials to match the curriculum and taught herself the whole course through free online classes from her bedroom.

Ten months later, after teaching herself both Hungarian and English to open up opportunities abroad, she landed a job in London with MVF.

She is now one of the most senior engineers in the business and a strong advocate for women in tech, dedicating her own time to launching workshops and drop in sessions to help others and share skills.

CTO Michael Johnson comments: “I am delighted to see Visnja recognised as a leading UK tech talent. She’s had a huge impact on our publishing brands which are a core part of our strategy and also extends her influence to MVF’s up-and-coming tech talent.

As is clear from Visnja’s incredible story, she is no stranger to hard work or learning new skills and this, combined with her understanding of our business makes her a really formidable member of our tech team.” Read more: https://blog.makersacademy.com/shortlist-announced-for-the-2020-women-in…
