MVF has been shortlisted in the Camden business awards for the ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Community’ category.
The awards celebrates the efforts local companies play in ensuring sustainable economic growth in the borough of Camden.
Over the past year MVF has embarked on a big campaign to increase its CSR activities beyond merely donating money. Now boasting a 16 person team, the CSR committee have devised a calendar with charity events scheduled well into 2016.
Last Christmas, our relocations division MoveHub launched FoodHub, a new charity initiative aimed at alleviating the extra pressure on homeless shelters and food banks during the festive period. Food collected was donated to young persons’ charity Centrepoint at their Camden Cecil House branch which sleeps up to 21 vulnerable women at any one time.
MVF also launched an official partnership with the Castlehaven Community Association, a charity established to improve and maintain Camden’s local facilities for the younger and older community members.
MVF will run employability workshops to help individuals who have been unemployed for a significant period of time prepare to get back into work as well as helping with Castlehaven’s own marketing strategy.
Jared Keleher, chairman of the CSR committee comments: "It is fantastic to be shortlisted for an award for our charity activities. In the past year our CSR committee has really focused its efforts and achieved so much and this recognition is only going to add momentum to our plans! We have developed some amazing relationships with local organisations who are really benefiting from our help and hopefully this is just the start of what we will achieve."
Previous winners include ZenithOptimedia, University of the Arts London Central St. Martins, and St. Pancras International.
The winners will be announced at a glamorous awards ceremony at the prestigious Rosewood Holborn Hotel on 2nd June 2015.
